About Michael L. Ritchie
Michael Ritchie is a partner at Ritchie Law Firm and the son of founder Roger A. Ritchie Sr. Like his father, Mike has dedicated his legal career to representing injured people and those seeking disability benefits — never insurance companies or corporations.
Mike graduated from Spotswood High School and attended the University of Virginia for both his undergraduate and legal education, earning a B.A. in Foreign Affairs and his J.D. in 2002. Upon completing law school, he returned to the Shenandoah Valley community that had shaped him and joined the family practice.
Mike brings extensive experience across a wide range of injury cases. He concentrates his practice on cases involving pharmaceutical drugs and dangerous products, tractor-trailer collisions, dog attacks, automobile collisions, workers' compensation (Virginia), and Social Security disability claims.
His work in pharmaceutical and dangerous products litigation reflects a commitment to holding manufacturers accountable when defective or improperly marketed products cause serious harm. He has handled cases involving both individual plaintiffs and multi-plaintiff pharmaceutical litigation.
Mike serves as Chair of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association's Young Trial Lawyers Section, demonstrating his commitment to the broader legal community and to advancing the rights of injured people throughout Virginia.
Clients who work with Mike benefit from his thorough preparation, his knowledge of complex regulatory frameworks governing pharmaceuticals and commercial trucking, and his genuine dedication to achieving the best possible outcome in every case.
