About Ritchie Law Firm

A family firm dedicated to representing injured victims throughout Virginia and West Virginia for over 50 years.

Our Story

Ritchie Law Firm was founded by Roger A. Ritchie Sr. in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. What began as a general practice law firm in the 1970s evolved, by the early 1990s, into a practice dedicated exclusively to representing people who have been injured through the negligence of others.

For over 50 years, our firm has stood for a simple principle: injured people deserve skilled, dedicated legal representation — and they should not have to pay anything unless we win their case. We work on a contingency fee basis, which means our fee comes only from the recovery we obtain for you.

We are a family firm in every sense of the word. Roger's son, Michael Ritchie, joined the practice after graduating from the University of Virginia School of Law. Together with our team of experienced attorneys, we have represented thousands of injury victims and disability claimants throughout Virginia and West Virginia.

Our firm only represents injured parties. We never represent insurance companies or corporations. This singular focus means our interests are always aligned with yours — and we bring the full weight of our experience to bear on every case we handle.
